 | REDWOOD or PINE (Pinus Sylvestris) The colour of pine is a pale yellowish-brown to red-brown heartwood with a lighter colour sapwood. FSC and PEFC certified the wood is either from Scandinavia or Russia. It's also known as Scot's Pine in some areas. This wood also has a nice weighty feel too it for a stretcher bar and although we use the best grade wood there are knots. Most are taken out when we cut the wood though.
