How Wunderbars Work
![]() | The amazing world of the spring block....or the "widget" as its more affectionately known! This is the engine room and the small part that makes all things Wunderbars. Specially designed for tension and efficiency, the Spring Block , is exactly as it says on the tin. Its a block that contains a spring. Alongside this spring is a pin that shoots out when the release pin is pulled out of the block. The block is designed in such a way that on your canvas it gently eases the corners apart. This process (unlike other stretching devises and methods) is none aggressive, therefore it will not damage the canvas or crack the ink as much. However, once fully activated the tension is exactly as it should be for a fine art canvas, tight but not overtight. |
Once complete these is no need to tap in wedges (keys) the spring block will keep the canvas tensioned as necessary for the rooms environment. The canvas shrinks, the spring recoil, the canvas starts to get saggy, the springs extend. With the Wunderbars there's no more revisits to customers for sagging canvas or wedges that are dropping out. The only revisits will be to admire your previous work as you measure up a new image.................. See the wunderbars in action on the Wunderbars video here.
